My biggest issue with this story was how the heroine was treated. Spoiler alert! How can they induce a heat, let all the males get in on it and then not tell her about why she acted that way or that she was pregnant. Then the heroine just lets it go when she finds out. She was just too desperate for me. On top of that Mac obviously manipulates her. Due to all of this the romance just didn't do it for me. On top of that the plot wasn't very interesting. I wouldn't recommend this one.

Great characters and story line. Very original take on the werewolf tale. Unlike any other book in this genre I have read. Love the action in the jungle hut.
I don't usually write reviews, however, in this case I had to make an exceoption. This was a great book. Very well written and I wish she would write more! I was unsure when I read the jacket regarding the orgy, however, it tied very nicely into the story and was done in great taste. This was a great book!
While this was a okay book and I do not regret buying it. I thought it lacked in character development. I just did not get a good feel for the characters it like they where missing something maybe a little better back ground on them. I also found the time jumping a little disconcerting. This book just lacked a lot. I felt I was missing something important that I should have read first.
Terrific book! New concept for me of the beginning of a wolf pack! Lots of action, fighting, and of course romance and hot scenes with four hot Marines! If you don't like seeing the leading lady with more than one guy than this book isn't for you! Madelaine Montague is my new favorite author!!!!
I thought this story was really smart on how the former soldiers figured out a way to elude their pursuers and I appreciated that there was an aspect where they got to know the female lead. However, there isn't enough background information on the female lead so that you can develop an interest in her; she comes across too much as a pawn with the guys, especially when she so readily accepts what the guys intentionally do to her without her consent (no worries, it's not violent, but still...)

I must say that of all of Madelaine Montague's (aka Kaitlyn O'Connor) books, this had one of the most satisfying epilogue HEA written.
OK, so this book really, really surprised me. I searched the term "wolfen", loved the cover, vaguely read the plot and grabbed it. Not for a moment did I realize that this book involved a 4-some...or a 5-some...or whatever, the bed was really crowded. And I thought, oh crap, I have one of these ménage books (or whatever 4 guys and a woman are called) that I never read. Except...

It has a plot. A real plot. A great, gripping and fascinating plot with a very interesting twist on the shifter myth. And it's not just that there are gray wolves in South America. Sylvie and the guys? They're really awesome characters. I loved this book and I intend to check out more of Ms. Montague's wolf books.

Oh, and the sex was really hot too.
This is written by Kaitlyn O'Connor under a pen name. This was a different take on the shifter story. These guys are infected while on a mission and after they escape from the US government who are experimenting on them they take Sylvie with them on their escape. The 4 men are learning who and what they are during the course of the book. So this isn't about well established shifter societies and such but a bunch of guys learning. Sylvie is a typical O'Connor heroine. She is pretty weak and submissive but is pretty well written within her character. The guys are typical of the type of hero KO'C writes also. They were not the terribly amusing sort of bumblers but were in the middle. The focus was mostly on the relationships but the action part of the story was well developed and made sense.

I enjoyed it. I think any fan of shifters and/or Kaitlyn O'Connor/Madelaine Montague will too.
