Warning - this is a cliffhanger. I had no warning. I read the story but I will not buy the next book. A waste of my time. I did enjoy the story and I am sorry I did. I want the option of choosing a cliffhanger and this author did not give me that choice.

Fast-paced, and a great read!

Inhibitions is a whirlwind romance between Ashley and Tanner. When Ashley is asked to fill in for an interview with the star QB of the Jets, she's nervous, and things continue to not go well for her. After catching her ex cheating on her, and then dealing with the debt he put her in, she hates players and everything she's read about Tanner makes her think he's the type of guy she should stay far away from.

When Tanner meets Ashley he's intrigued and amazing by the way he feels about her, but then she changes the line of questioning and pushes him too far and he goes off on her. At first I really hated his character and wanted to punch him, but he really grew on me throughout this book. He's not the self-centered jerk that I thought he was going to be, but rather a sweet guy who does everything he can for the people he cares about. When things go to crap with the interview, Tanner wants nothing to do with Ashley, yet can't keep his mind off of her, so when the opportunity to help her comes up, he jumps at it, and it becomes the start of an amazing story between these two.

At times, Ashley's character got on my nerves. She has so many past hurts, that she's insecure at times, but when she gets outside of her head, and lets Tanner show her how much he cares, things are beautiful with them. She slowly starts to open up to him about everything she's gone through, and in doing so, things become amazing between them. I loved how sweet and fun they were at times, and how hot and sexy they were at others. Through in Quinn (Ashley's best friend) and Alex (Tanner's best friend) and you have an amazing set of characters.

This story had me gripped from beginning to end, and I am so very thankful that the second book is out now, because the way this one ended.... let's just say I would be screaming of book 2 was not out yet! Tanner and Ashley's story is beautiful, difficult, sexy, and full of twists and turns. I can NOT wait to see what happens next with these two! I highly suggest picking up a copy of Inhibitions today if you love hot and sexy romance!
Switch up the billionaire with a rich sports star, add your writer and repetitive, kinky, rough pounding sex and boom! You got another boring Fifty Shades knock off. Except in this story the sex scenes are not only frequent, and long, they are ridiculous. We're talking F-Yeah, F-Yeah! Oh God, Oh God! And of course, the ever screaming orgasm! Can these romance authors not come up with an original idea to save their lives???
Just frosts me when an author doesn't disclose a cliff hanger . it doesn't arouse any desire to buy the next one either.
That being said, this story is very stereotypical so much so that Ashley's predicament comes as no surprise and I'm sure the ending....how many books thats may entail, will be no surprise either. 2 stars was generous.

I appreciate books that have the stories coming from both viewpoints. This one had that, although it skewed more to Ashley than Tanner.
Ashley meets Tanner after a rough morning. She’s set to interview him and to learn more about the current football season where he’s the star quarterback. The interview starts off ok but slowly dissolves from there where he’s threatening to have her job by the end.
Tanner is used to people judging him, especially journalists, so it’s no surprise that he expects the word from Ashley. What he doesn’t expect is to see her in her broken down car and feel responsible for her. Tanner doesn’t do relationships but there’s something vulnerable about Ashley that gets to him.
They both have their trust issues to overcome. Ashley is sexually adventurous but has been made to feel bad about wanting and enjoying sex. Tanner is a professional athlete and doesn’t need gold diggers coming for his money. Even with all that baggage, they attempt a relationship until they’re both thrown for a loop. Tanner behaves horribly but has he lost Ashley forever? I guess I’ll have to read the next book to find out. One note, if you’re not into submissive sex, this might not be the book for you. There’s nothing too graphic, but the sex scenes are HOT!
It's my own darn fault, but I didn't catch the fact that this BOOK ENDS IN A CLIFFHANGER! I could kick myself, because I normally don't buy cliffhangers. I don't have a problem with an author writing a series, but I expect each book to wrap up its part of the overall story before going on to the next. I certainly don't expect the book to end in a problem that hasn't been resolved, so that you have to buy the next book before you can finish the story.

The only reason I didn't give this a 1 star (or a zero star or minus 1 star if allowed it), is because I did enjoy the story, at least at the start, for the most part. You've got to wade through a lot of sex, with an insecure and inhibited woman no less, which gets really, really old after a while. When I first read the pages available when you "Look Inside" the book, it didn't seem that there would be so much sex. It actually started with an honest to goodness story, but that kinda degenerated into sex scene after sex scene, with a little bit of story in between.

Ms. Berg, you have some growing to do as an author.
